Ava - nee "Belcam Aava" - was sent to the Tinneys as a three year old, for
three months of intensive training, to help kick-start her dressage career with
then owner Kathy Ward. However, her strong will meant her stay with the
Tinneys was extended six months then nine...... and eventually a 1/2 share
was given to the Tinneys to see if eventing was her forte rather than dressage. Luckily for her it was!.
Her career highlights are impressive. In 2000, she went into the Australia Team
camp prior to the Olympics. Still only 8 years old, Ava came 16th for Australia at
WEG in Jerez and was sold to Italy in 2002.
